With every change of season, we welcome all that is fresh, new, and we are grateful to have made it through one of the toughest winters on record.

We're starting our Spring with two actions; the first is to say Thank You (or rather, see you later) to our super-duper Volunteer/Expo Coordinator for the past few season Denise Burgese. Denise was a fixture on our team for three years and brought high energy, a mother's touch, and random acts of kindness to Team DelMo. The past few months have been filled with uncertainty in our world and Denise made the best choice for her and her family by taking a new position closer to home. Although Denise will not be working with us daily, she has an open invitation to attend any DelMoSports events she wishes, and we will welcome her bright eyes and boundless energy with open arms to any future DelMo event. We thank her for her time, her commitment, and her willingness to give everything she had to our mission of serving our athletes and our communities.
When one door closes, almost inevitably, another door opens which leads us to our second action of Spring; a big Hello to our new Volunteer Coordinator Mrs. Lauryn Atkinson. Lauryn is a third-grade teacher at Crest Memorial in Wildwood Crest. Lauryn, her husband and two daughters are new to the area having moved from Washington Township to Wildwood Crest this past August, but Lauryn is no stranger to large scale events having successfully organized some the largest cheer competitions in the state of New Jersey over the past 14 years with her company, Jersey Pride. We are thrilled to be working with and learning from Lauryn as she lends Team DelMoSports her expertise.
Let’s show Lauryn some love and help her fill the volunteer jobs for the MudHen Brewing Co. Race Series event in the Wildwoods on April 16-18! Do you have a group thats interested in volunteering or are you a superstar volunteer that has volunteer numerous times? Feel free to introduce yourself, congratulate and welcome her to the team!
