DeSatnick Real Estate to partner with DelMoSports as Title Sponsor of Iconic Escape the Cape Triathlon & Open Water Classic.
DelMoSports is pleased to announce that DeSatnick Real Estate will be the first ever Title Sponsor of the Escape the Cape Triathlon and Open Water Classic (ETC). Scheduled for August 29th this year, and returning to its normal June date in 2022, the ETC has become one of the most important summer events in Southern New Jersey and a “bucket list” event for triathletes and swimmers, attracting participants from all around the USA to Cape May, NJ. The partnership extends through 2025 and includes a tie-in with the DeSatnick Foundation, which financially and emotionally supports those living with paralysis in Cape May, Atlantic, Ocean, Cumberland, Monmouth, and Ocean Counties.
Todd DeSatnick, Broker of Record/Owner of DeSatnick Real Estate and Stephen Del Monte, CEO of DelMoSports, have been friends for years, so the idea of working together was intriguing to both. “Steve and I have been growing our respective businesses with a focus on world-class customer service and a desire to bring people to this beautiful part of Southern New Jersey. This partnership is a great opportunity to further expand DeSatnick Real Estate’s profile through this iconic event and raise awareness for the DeSatnick Foundation’s efforts for those living with paralysis in our community. I couldn’t be more excited to work with a close friend.”
“The ETC has become a signature event in the world of multisport,” said Del Monte. “DeSatnick Real Estate’s long-term commitment to the event will help us continue to sustain and grow it even further. I am very much looking forward to working with Todd and his team.”
From the incredible start, with the athletes leaping 12 feet from the MV Delaware ferry into the Delaware Bay and swimming ashore, to the gorgeous bike course through vineyards and beautiful back roads, and on the waterfront run to the finish line, the DeSatnick Real Estate Escape the Cape Triathlon is truly unlike any other multisport event. A USA Triathlon sanctioned event, Escape the Cape offers two race distances: the Sprint Triathlon: .35-mile swim, 12-mile bike, and 5K run; and the Olympic Triathlon: 1-mile swim, 12-mile bike, and 5-mile run.
Launched in 2018, the Open Water Classic has now become an “in-demand” open water swim competition in the Mid-Atlantic, providing swimmers the same thrill of jumping off the Cape May-Lewes Ferry to start their race. Sanctioned by USA Triathlon, the Open Water Classic is a 1-mile open water swim in the flat waters of Delaware Bay.
