I did, and it appears we're in February. Sorry January.

Me personally, I like to take the month of January OFF. The start of the new year is all about family, trying to be home as much as possible, making Sunday gravy, just all the good things in life. I love every minute of it. But, this January I made an exception to move in a big way. This was not a spur of the moment deicions. It was something that has been brewing over the last few years and the timing couldn't have been better, and now we're firmly into February.
We kicked off the new year at literally at midnight with LL Cool J NYE Concert in Philadelphia. The DelMo Team was part of the production crew setting up security fence and various other pieces of equipment in and around the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Oval. From that event, we immediately began the relocation of our warehouses across the street into larger, combined facility. For the first time in a very, very long time, we are operating under one roof. The DelMo of old is no longer, which is a good thing.
Why is that good? Hang with me here.
Take YOU, for instance. Remember you 20 years ago? Remember what you thought was important? Remember what knowledge and experience you lacked? Remember the lessons you had no idea you needed to learn? Yup, me too. I remember nearly all of it. Mostly, I vividly remember the PAIN and vaguely remember the pleasures. The pain is what has driven me through it all. Pain has fueled me to re-adjust and re-imagine who I am and where I want the company to go. My vision has never been clearer.
Our move represents more than just a change of address, it represents a tectonic shift in core beliefs in every way. Each one of us is different, our thermostats have different set points and it's up to us to adjust accordingly to the lives we want to live. What was important to me 20 years ago has evolved...for the better.
I hope today's version of you is better than where you've been. If not...it's time to move.
See You In March,
-DELMO
