It's fitting the title of our February newsletter is less is MORE.
Yes, February is the shortest month of the year, even every 4 years, but that doesn't make it any less impactful than other months. The same can be said for your training and your race schedule. Take a look at the DelMoSports event schedule from 2019:

Each one of those events had a Facebook page, athlete guide, website information, registration page, marketing plan, detailed athlete communications throughout the year, medal and t-shirt designs, specific event signage, sponsorship activation... the list goes on and on. Now take a look at our 2023 schedule:

We paired down our owned/operated events to a small handful of POWERFUL, UNIQUE races. By doing this, we've narrowed our focus internally in order to create a greater impact/experience for you the athlete. It's just that simple. And while we're being really honest here, let's admit, the MudHen IPA 5K & Beer Mile is a Friday night only event and the perfect kick off to our season:) That leaves our 4 core events, all triathlons, to be the absolute best races they can be.
Narrow focus + maximum energy + precision execution = spectacular results. Read that again. If you want results, in anything you do, follow that formula. But also notice this, in order to "say yes" to those 4 core triathlons, I had to let some stuff go, and I'm ok with that and I know you will be too.
Remember, what you focus on will ultimately grow and in order to achieve this growth you must know your bandwidth capabilities. For some, it's 10 races per year with an IRONMAN 70.3 in the mix and they still have time for work and family. For others, it's only 1 race every summer 'down the shore... and that's it... and there's NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!
Take a look at your schedule; what can you get rid of to make what you do have (and what you truly love to do) that much better? Narrow your focus... and let 'er rip.
