Recently I learned that over 90% of triathlons in the United States have been between 90-190 participants and anything over 300 participants is considered a large race. The last time we produced a triathlon (not including COVID) with less than 1000 participants was 2014. What does that mean?
Triathlon is in the air and the Big 4 are better than ever.
What are the Big 4?
1. Escape The Cape Triathlon (11 years)
2. Women's Philadelphia Triathlon (7 years)
3. Atlantic City Triathlon (14 years)
4. Tri the Wildwoods Triathlon (21 years)

The last time we produced a triathlon (not including COVID) with less than 1000 participants was 2014. What does that mean?
It means we are living out our passion in DelMoLand. From Day 1 we set out to produce the best possible triathlons. We set massive, audacious goals with ZERO IDEA HOW TO ACCOMPLISH THEM then placed every ounce of effort we had into turning our dreams into a reality.
Here's a scary question: What if we set out to be average? What if we didn't take the risk? What if we never aspired to get better each year and wanted to stay the same as the prior year because it was comfortable? What if we never asked, "What if?" What am I trying to tell you?
TAKE THE RISK.
You will never know what is possible until you set out to do something you have no clue how to do. I know, it sounds counterintuitive, but it's not. When you walk down the path of uncertainty but are able to channel true belief, THAT is when the Gods favor you. There is no other way. You must believe in YOU regardless of age, experience, expertise, skill or intelligence.
Back to the Big 4. Every one of those races were once an idea. At the time, my superpower was ignorance. I actually believed I had what it took to bring those events to fruition; I had no clue. We never set out to produce the biggest triathlons, we set out to be the best we can be. I want to be CRYSTAL CLEAR about that....when you set out to be the best you can be, and follow that up with tireless, production actions, the needle will move.
Here's another secret, the next great thing I'm going to do in this world...I have no idea what it is or how I'm going to do it, all I know is....it will be amazing😉
