Meet DelMo Athlete Dave Goldstein

Dave Goldstein - Triathlete, Volunteer, Local Ambassador/Handler/Coordinator (South Jersey) for Ainsley's Angels of America.

You might've seen Dave and his son Josh of Team Josh at the Atlantic City Triathlon and Crest Best Run Fest this past season.

1. Do you plan to race any DelMoSports events this upcoming 2020 season?
YES, as of now I am definitely doing TRI AC Olympic Distance with Josh & then IM70.3AC.  May do the MudHen Race Series.  Will be cheering my wife again at the Women's PHL Tri.

2. Favorite DelMoSports volunteering and also racing experience?
I had a blast as a wetsuit stripper at IM70.3AC this past year. WOW, what a fast paced workout.  My favorite DelMo racing experience was doing this year's TRI AC while pulling my son Josh. We both had a great time and everyone was so encouraging.

3. Favorite DelMoSports event to volunteer? To race?
As of now, I have to say I love TRI AC but I am guessing IM70.3AC will soon become my favorite.   I enjoyed volunteering at the Women PHL Tri, especially packet pickup because with all of the newbies I was happy to answer questions & give advice.  Then to see the ladies from all walks of life out there giving their all and getting very emotional at the finish.

4. What is your race mantra?
Easy - I always tell myself to keep smiling, have fun and never quit.

5. Tell us three things we should know about you.
-I was once ranked #19 in the world in competitive eating
-Had 2 hip replacements in 2018 (bad arthritis)
-Served 13 years in the US ARMY / US ARMY NATIONAL GUARD
