We decided to interview a special DelMoSports Athlete this month. Meet David Biondi!

Each month, we sit down with a DelMoSports athlete and ask them a few questions.
Meet DelMo Athlete, David Biondi!
1. What are your race goals for the 2018/2019 season?
My goal for 2019 is to keep shooting for a spot on the podium! Every year I race I shave a little more time off so eventually you’ll see me on the stage with the heavy hitters. I also want to try a SwimRun!
2. Best racing advice?
The best advice I can give is don’t be anxious or nervous. If you get tired during the swim, go over and say hi to a lifeguard. If you get overwhelmed on the bike, pull over and take a breather and if you’re gassed out on the run, walk a bit. You have it in you to finish the race so don’t let the seed of doubt take hold!
3. Favorite pre-race meal?
I’m a nervous stomach guy race morning so I keep my pre race meal simple. I eat 4 scrambled eggs with some home fries.
4. What is your race mantra?
Keep going, don’t quit. You didn’t get all dressed up for nothing!
5. Tell us something we should know about you.
In April of 2014, my friend Jehovanny peer pressured me to join his running group. My first run was the most horrible experience of my life but for some reason I decided to stick with it and it changed my life. In 2015, we did Escape the Cape for the first time and I was hooked. That winter, DelMo announced IMAC and I knew I had to do it. I joined up with the Speed Sherpa Tri Team because I knew I needed to be prepared. Then, on September 18th after I crossed the finish line, I surprised my now wife Ingrid by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry me. If it wasn’t for running and then triathlons, I wouldn’t be where I am today!
