Meet TEAM DelMo Ambassador Lisa Hettler, who finds time as a single mom to train, race, collect growlers and well, rock.
1. What are your race goals this season?
This year, I would like to push limits. I really want to see what I can do out there on the course. Every DelMo Tri is the ultimate prep for IRONMAN 70.3 Atlantic City!!! I really want to finish strong. This year I also would like to do an Xterra!!!
2. Best racing advice?
Fight for it. Don’t give up or give in. There are good days and bad in training. Race day is no different. You never know what is going to happen. It is how you convey your training into your race to get to that finish line.
3. Favorite pre-race meal?
PIZZA the night before and a blueberry doughnut in the morning 🙂
4. Do you pee on the bike?
Whaaaat?! Never!!! But, transition is a different story…Picture it…Wildwood 2015…On a relay…I return from the swim, my cyclist departs….suddenly….oh my!!! Do I leave to pee?! When will he return? But I can’t run like this!!! Wrap a towel, pop a squat, DONE!!
5. Tell us three things we should know about you.
-My first swim in the ocean was Escape the Cape 2015.
-I collect growlers from local breweries. (Feel free to bring me one anytime!)
-I Bleed Coffee.
