Dear OC Iron Soldiers Swim Run Competitors, Volunteers, Family and Friends,
BACK ON! Please consider this your official invite to the 20th Annual OC Iron Soldiers Swim Run. It is my honor to again join you all in supporting our brave servicemen and women currently deployed in the Middle East and many other very dangerous parts of the world. What a strong statement you have all made over the years in supporting the Troops and letting them know that while they are over there, we are here for them.
**NOTE** There is NO entry fee to compete. I do ask that the night of the race everyone bring Treats for Troops items that our volunteers will pack and ship following the event. A list of items to bring are in the above attachment. Monetary donations to help pay to ship the care packages will be gladly accepted. Race sign up is the night of the race beginning at 6:30PM. No online entries. This is an INVITE ONLY event open to the first 100 people so please email Fred to confirm your entry. If your entry is confirmed and later you are unable to attend, please be courteous and let Fred know so he can give your entry to someone else.

BEACH CEREMONY FOLLOWING THE RACE HONORING LOCAL FALLEN HEROES AND THOSE LOST TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS
New this year because of the need to still social distance, be respectful of our neighbors and follow CDC rules, we will be on the beach for the entire event and ceremonies. We will read the honor roll of all of our Philadelphia Treats for Troops FALLEN WARRIORS and remember their ultimate sacrifice to our country. Also, candles will be lit to remember our friends and family lost to the COVID-19 virus. You will have the opportunity to say the name of someone close to you lost to the virus during the hero ceremony.
Many of you have told me that this night is one of the highlights of your summer. We try to make everything extra special for everyone involved. So please mark your calendars and plan to be there. If you have any questions, please contact me any time.
Very respectfully yours,
Freddie
