We've done a lot in our short history of event production here at DelMoSports.

From humble beginnings on the beach of North Wildwood for the "Tri/Du/Run the Wildwoods" back in 2004, to putting bicycles on the Atlantic City Expressway for the Atlantic City Triathlon, to convincing the Delaware River & Bay Authority that it's a perfectly good idea to allow people to jump off their boat for the annual Escape the Cape Triathlon & Open Water Classic, and bringing the World Triathlon Corporation to southern New Jersey for IRONMAN 70.3 Atlantic City. Heck, we were even told it was a terrible idea to get over 1,000 women together for a pool swim triathlon in the Women's Philadelphia Triathlon. Yes - we've accomplished much in a very short amount of time. But nothing compares to our biggest victory to date: producing the Crest Best Run Fest Presented by Inspira Health in the midst of a pandemic and doing so safely with precision planning and execution.
It was not an easy road to get here; in fact, we don't believe this event could have been produced in early or late summer. Not because we didn't know how to plan for such an event, but the fear of COVID 19 is and was very real - not just for you, but for our community and for our team here at DelMoSports. But this was more than just a race. Please don't believe for one minute that this event was put on for "the almighty dollar,' it was not even close to being profitable. This race was produced to show ourselves, our athletes, and our community that if you plan enough, communicate enough, and use common sense practices WE CAN GATHER SAFELY in groups of any size.
To me, Crest Best put a bow on 2020. That's right, 2020 is now in the rear-view mirror and we couldn't be happier. We're going to take our experience and steamroll into 2021 and, as always, safety has been and always will be our #1 priority, not because that's the buzz word you hear/see with companies these days, but because this has been our mantra from Day 1.
The Crest Best Run Fest was a safe success. Check out the race photos HERE and watch the highlight video below for a glimpse of what hard work, attention to detail, and the willingness to accept change and follow protocols can accomplish. We've sat inside and been isolated for far too long. We are willing to lead the charge to taking back a slim slice of normalcy and promote health, wellness, and the power of positivity through getting together to swim, bike, run, and laugh, just like we always have. I took care of my employees through these tumultuous times, and I will take care of each and every one you.
So, I ask you to raise your glass of preferred beverage, nod your head in confidence and salute yourself for moving forward.
Now, let's go.
