I love this term, "Remember When."

Remember When is always proceeded by good times, by hard times, by struggles and surprises of old. Remember When takes us back to a simpler time, a hardship, or a time when we didn't quite know if we were going to make it. Remember When is special for me. It helps me to get centered when times are going really, really well. It also acts as a beacon of light for when times are really, really difficult and there seems to be no end in sight, or worse, a new beginning of true uncertainty is heading our way.
What I love most about Remember When is I still do the things I did "back in the day." Those actions whether they be disciplines of routine, or the most random, mundane jobs at a race site still help me continue to lay the foundation for bedrock success in any facet of my life. I hope it can do the same for you.
I'll tell you about a future Remember When right now.
Here it goes: Remember when we were in the midst of a pandemic? Remember when there was cultural struggle all around us? Remember when politics was in complete turmoil and if people voted for one side they were denounced from the other side? Remember when we were afraid to hug and shake hands or high five for fear of getting sick or worse yet, getting someone we loved sick? Remember when our first and possibly only live event of the season was the Crest Best Run Fest on Columbus Weekend of 2020? Remember when we gave people a chance to feel safe and normal if only for a weekend? Remember when we received compliments for all of our hard work?
Yup. I love this memory and I can't wait to make it.
