Summer is gone. Where did things go right? Where did they go wrong? What did I make time for? What did I miss out on?

Hard Truth #1: I didn't take my kids to the boardwalk... at all.
Hard Truth #2: I didn't make good on my Dad's Father's Day Gift (a Phillies Game).
Hard Truth #3: I stated,"Ok, I'll get it done later," too often and I didn't get"it" done.
Good Stuff #1: I made it home for dinner 5 out of 7 nights.
Good Stuff #2: We crushed our events.
Good Stuff #3: Lives were changed this summer, I know it.
Do Over #1: Put the phone down.
Do Over #2: Better Breakdown Plans.
Do Over #3: Swim More.
Now, I can either beat myself up, or I can HARVEST what I did now in the next three months. We are always going to have personal regrets. We are always going to say, "I could have done more," and that is perfectly natural. It's what makes us human, it's healthy. What's not healthy is carrying those thoughts around with us on a daily basis. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO LIVE A LIFE OF BALANCE WITHOUT TIPPING TO ONE SIDE ONCE IN A WHILE.
Now, let's look at the next month to see where we can go right. I know there will be more time available for spend with family... and I will. My family deserves the best I can offer and that is exactly what I'm going to do. It has nothing to do with money or material things (I drive an '01 diesel pick up... everyday) and has everything to do with being HERE and NOW. This directly applies to training, or family time, or work. What's done is done, but you can build upon whatever you did accomplish, reassess, make a plan, and execute on that plan. It's never too late.
Summer may be gone, but fall is HERE and the time is NOW.
