We think we’re onto to something here in Atlantic City, NJ.

In our inaugural year, we were voted “One of America’s Top Destination Vacation Races” by Active.com. Besides the amazing FREE beaches, the billion dollar casinos, and the fantastic dining and shopping opportunities, the Atlantic City International Triathlon just might provide the best race course on the East Coast.
Why?
Well, let’s start with our swim course. Now, last year we used the Atlantic Ocean as our pool and mother nature had some harsh words for us come race morning. To make her happy (and the many athletes who requested), we relocated that part of the triathlon course to the Back Bay.
The bay is a calm, flat body of water that is extremely safe. It also gives us the opportunity to add a sprint component to this event. We’re confident our swim course will give athletes everything they expect when it comes to the swim…reliability that we will HAVE a swim. No matter how hard the wind blows, or how much rain falls, the Back Bay gives us the best option to consistently provide a swim, bike, run event.

The 2nd Annual Atlantic City International Triathlon’s bike course is unrivaled on the East Coast. The city of Atlantic City, New Jersey Department of Transportation, and the South Jersey Transportation Authority have given us the opportunity to have, what we think, is the best triathlon bike course in the world.
The Atlantic City Expressway is our playground come race morning. With four lanes of road closed just for us, athletes can literally fly into and out of Atlantic City. Check out last year’s course video!

Now, we’ve described the Swim, the Bike, and that could only leave us with one thing: The Run Course.
Ah yes, the point in the event when most feel like calling it quits, but somehow, someway find that extra courage to press forward. To go where they’re bodies are desperately telling them not to, but the power of their minds know they must! There is not better place to crush those inner demons than on the World Famous Atlantic City Boardwalk.

Voted the #1 Boardwalk in America by National Geographic, the Atlantic City Boardwalk is like no other! It is home to HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, The Historic Steel Pier, the Diving Horse, the Hilton, Caesars, Bally’s, Showboat, Resorts, Trump Taj Mahal, House of Blues, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Historic Boardwalk Hall, and the all new 3 billion dollar Revel Hotel and Casino (our run turnaround!).
Yes, when times get tough during the run the Atlantic City Boardwalk will distract you beyond pain and into the land of “Wow, I needed that!” Check out last year’s run course video!
